About SOS Island
SOS Island was originally going to be a cheesy role play site, but then I got a better idea: Survivor.
Survivor?
That's right: survivor. Members are welcome to join the site and once we have a fair amount of people (preferably at least 10) the competition will begin.
Once the competition has started what's the point in joining?
This competition will be continuous (as long as we have people to participate). Each week a new "task" will be given everyone involved will be expected to participate in. The tasks may range from a game of Deal or No Deal - a riddle - or another sort of contest.
After each game is complete the weakest links will be up for elimination. There will be a poll which everyone on the site will be expected to vote in to eliminate. The person with the highest votes will be eliminated.
What's the purpose?
To stay in the competition!
The game will be played two ways depending on how many members we get:
#1. Via rotation. Once one person is voted out, someone else will be put in their place. Points will be given for each week you survive based on your ranking. Once you're voted out, those are your points for the given round. If you apply to be back in the game, you will have to start at 0 again.
#2. Multiple games. Once there are several people we will be able to play multiple games at one time. Meaning once you're voted out. In this scenario, the goal will be the last person standing.
How do I apply?
Go to the signup board and put in your application. Make sure start a new thread.
What's the purpose of sticking around if I'm not in a game?
We will have various debates and other games going on throughout the site that are not related to the current survivor game, so we hope you will choose to stick around!
How long will each round last?
The longest any given round will last is a whole week. Each task is given a week's max to complete. If everyone in the competition completes their round prior to that week's deadline, then we will move forward. A round can last as little as a day if everyone is on their top notch.
If you have any other questions regarding the purpose of this site, please ask in this thread.
